warning: long post ahead
bwahah. this is rather funny. im describing to xiuhui how to get to gardens. haha. description includes merry-go-round; circus [traffic gg in a circle in one direction]; looks like a little village, like holland v; aiya, you'll know its serangoon gardens lah. lol. there's really no place like home eh?
-smiles-
wah!! i love angel please!! heh. she send me ikemen paradise soundtrack, peach and IKENAI TAIYOU!! yay!! and we're meeting this week with ugly girl!! hurhur. cant wait.
been reading alot the past week. started off with dave pelzer's 2 novels. yea, he's the guy who was ridiculously abused by his monster of a mother. she's absolute madness really. but because it happened in the 1970's, all the social workers could only account his injuries to discipline at home. anyways, i like the way he nv gave up on trying to find the answers. answers to his deep qns like why his mother acted tt way and etc etc.
after the 2 novels, went on to borrow a book titled 'the german trauma'. written abt the social situations which happened during world war 2, it focuses more on the pple than on the military events tt took place. the author also writes abt the current mindset of the germans, abt how they are unable to 'liberate' themselves cuz they're too worried abt ending up like hitler. chim stuff but i like. i really think i shld quit vet science and enrol in the diploma in psychology arh? hurhur. budden besides studying how the mind works, i gotta study HR in companies. urgh. yes, i checked course structure alrdy -.-
k, you dont expect me to keep my big mouth shut [or my itchy fingers rather] abt myanmar do you? hur. actually my godma and i had a conversation abt aung san suu kyi ard last yr and as usual i'll just listen. but after all tt has happened, and after reading 2 consecutive days of straits times, realised and understood the atrocious situation they have been in. and for a good few decades pls. if you have absolutely no idea what im talking abt, pls go and educate yourself. everyone shld know what sufferrings the other half of humankind is gg thru.
so a brief summary for you. whats gg on is tt, burma, and now known as myanmar has been under the military junta as government for many years. they are nationalistic? i think. and aung san from your ss textbooks is pro-democratic. he's dead i think. after tt, his daughter aung san suu kyi entered politics to try and take over. i think it was after 1990 tt they held an election. she won duh but the military junta nullified the results and refused to hand over power. they even put her on hse arrest to this day! their silly governing of the country can also be observed in a riot which happened in 1988, where students protested and the freaking police shot them. tt was the worst protest which happened, until now.
whats happening now is tt few weeks ago, oil prices were raised. but in their country, its prolly due to corruption of the government. i dont think they're being petty over oil prices but are actually using this as an excuse to protest and have a revolt. this time, not students any more. those involved are now monks, who represent buddhism, the main religion of their country.
my sister was actually questioning the integrity of the monks. [of cuz before she read or even scanned thru straits times] tt if they represent buddhism, shld they even be protesting? fact is, they're currently and will always be unarmed. they have nv been protesting violently. and after all tt has happened, you tell me how they can stand ard and watch their own pple being unfairly treated? and actually, what touched me was one of the comments one of the monks made, telling the civilians to stay away. he said 'we will send them [the military junta] our love and peace'. and at tt moment, i realised, omg, they're countering guns with love and peace. sigh, may god be with them.
gahhhh. i hope aung san suu kyi wins in the end. not cuz she's pro-democratic, but because i truly believe she is a woman of integrity and justice. anything is better than the junta now lah pls.
k, almost at the end of my superbly long post. marcus recently msn-ed me telling me he now holds tp in high respect. heh. he found the lip-dubs of cmm students on youtube. must say they're really damn good. this one's on the song umbrella by rihanna. and he says, the cmm students actually made him not hate the song. how cool is tt! (:
k, after watching it [again] for the upteenth time, really, they're damn good. they even have a 'toshio' lol. i'll stop raving abt them now. need slp. wah, my post really blardy long leh. ohwells. night world.
